Photovoltaic Laminates (PVL)
Stellar's fully integrated commercial PVLs offer an easy-to-install BIPV alternative for standing seam metal roofing. Each PVL utilizes the proprietary Triple Junction flexible solar cell manufactured by UNI-SOLAR. Bypass diodes are connected across each cell, allowing the modules to product power even when partially shaded. Architecturally pleasing, they do not detract from the lines of the roof.
BIPV Membrane Systems
Open Energy Corp. manufactures SolarSave, a waterproof, solar-integrated roofing product for lowslope/flat roofs in commercial and industrial applications. The SP 480, in a 4'x8' sheet utilizes 160 Sunpower A-300 cells that will produce 480 watts of DC power and an industry leading 15 DC watts per square foot.
