Independent Power Producers

Stellar Energy develops large solar power plants for independent power providers (IPPs), also known as non-utility generators. These 'Qualifying Facilities' may use the solar electricity generated for their own use and sell excess electrical energy to utilities according to rules established by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).
