Solar Construction/Project Managers
Stellar Energy Solutions, a rapidly growing national integrator, is seeking energetic, hard working and experienced Solar Construction/Project Manager candidates.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures all labor and materials are ordered in a timely manner, based on production and installation lead times.
- Interfaces with outside contractors to review and /or develop construction plans; coordinates communication with and work of outside contractors.
- Develops and monitors project budgets and ensures all work is completed within budgetary restrictions.
- Develops project schedules and ensures work is completed within established timeline.
- Oversees completion of all required paperwork.
- Coordinates with design department and other appropriate staff to ensure drawings are accurate and meet job specifications.
- Maintains regular communication with field coordinators/design project manager to ensure quality control and adherence to project schedules.
- Reviews all vendor and subcontractor invoices; resolves discrepancies.
- Ensures all necessary permits and approvals are received and required inspections are scheduled and completed.
- Possesses and maintains thorough knowledge of OSHA requirements; ensures that all OSHA guidelines and programs and implemented and enforced to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Keeps up to date on overall activities of the team, identifying problem areas and taking corrective actions.
- Regularly reports on status of projects, either in person or through written reports/correspondence.
- Provide effective point of contact for customers.
- Take initiative to eliminate obstacles to team success.
- Identify and complete process improvement projects.
- Drive customer satisfaction through commitment to quality.
- Must be willing and physically capable of conducting site inspections (climb ladders, walk on roofs, electrical equipment rooms, etc).
- Subcontract management experience and travel to installation projects sites is required.
Qualifications
A successful candidate will have:
- Three to five years of solar, electrical, or construction experience including understanding of contractual commitments, field coordination/installation, site supervision and how to manage customer expectations.
- Proven ability to lead day-to-day project oversight and management.
- Provide supervision of sub-contractors.
- Able to plan and monitor schedules, budgets and other resources.
