Solar Analyst
Stellar Energy Solutions, Inc. is looking for a Solar Analyst to join its Project Finance Group (PFG). This position will directly support the PFG primarily with solar project pricing issues and interact with sales executives on project pricing requests. This includes analyzing Utility Rate Tariffs and modeling solar performance to determine estimated savings based on solar resource and utility rate tariff factors.
Responsibilities:
The Analyst will be responsible for feasibility and technical evaluation of new sales opportunities. The Solar Analyst will provide the Sales department design and deliverables to support commercial solar electric systems. The Solar Analyst position is responsible for identifying the most appropriate technical and material solutions to optimize the sales proposal. Deliverables such as equipment specifications, concept design drawings, site evaluations, rate tariff analysis and other details will be required. Some travel is expected and required as needed by project location and scope.

Qualifications:
- 2+ years experience in the renewable energy field including working knowledge of solar energy systems.
- BS in Engineering or other analytical discipline.
- Auto CAD or similar program knowledge.
- Knowledge of renewable energy resource assessment techniques is required.
- Knowledge of statistical methods including time series analysis.
- Experience with electrical rate tariff analysis.
- High competency with MS Excel, Quick Quotes, Maui Solar or On-Grid software required.
- Knowledge of solar or other renewable energy and tax-oriented investments a big plus.
- Strong understanding of industry products: PV modules, racking systems, DAQ and inverters.
- Detail-oriented, strong organizational skills, excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate well on the phone and email.
- Willingness to work hard and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in estimating the energy output of various solar technologies including PV and CSP systems.
